Wolves in Sheep's Clothing

Hailing from the rusty remnants of a post-industrial northern Appalachian town, Wolves in Sheep's Clothing have become just as diverse and characteristic as their surroundings. Like the snowball effect that so often rules these mountains, WISC humbly began as an acoustic duo in 2011 when singer/songwriter Jason Gamble, and lead guitarist Brendon Bassler began collaborating in dingy local apartments, bars and small stages in Indiana, Pa. As the duo gained momentum playing a large repetoire of original music, they started to develop a bold artistic vision that melded elements of Delta blues, Appalachian folk, jazz, and alternative rock with an acoustic background. To complete this vision, WISC absorbed percussionist Josh Williams shortly thereafter, and upright bassist Nick Adams completed the lineup in late 2013. The band recorded their first live album, Underground Lullabies, in early 2014 at the Indiana Theate in Indiana, Pa. WISC continues to write, play, and disseminate original music, seek gigs and recording time, social network, and explore the craft and philosophy of the music that they and their fans so love.
