Wolves

Wolves formally began in 2010 when Dustin Ray Phelps (Vocals) approached former The Colour Violet bandmates Caleb Manard (then Guitar, now Bass) and Mark Hertensteiner (Keys) with a concept for a project bringing in his brother Drew Phelps on the guitar. This project would be driven by drums and bass, with an electronic, semi-ambient, sensual atmosphere. The music would stray into the realm of chaos and self-immersion while remaining accessible and radio-friendly. After recording several tracks with only electronic drumbeats, it became clear that while synthetic percussion should play a role in Wolves music, a live drummer was needed. Wolves found a perfect fit with Chris Cramberg (PDA, Optimistic to a Fault), and settled in with its current lineup to begin work preparing a live show as well as an initial EP to be released early Fall, 2011.
