BandPopBlues

Guitar-driven music largely influenced by blues men like Freddie King and SRV, as well as Stax and Motown artists. Songwriting and arrangements are a dual effort by tag-team Matt & Tyler, the results of which include unique usage of harmonies, synchronized dynamics, and a defined musical character.

Biography

Tyler, the older one, got an acoustic guitar for Christmas in middle school and our mom signed him up for private lessons. Matt, the younger one decided he wanted to learn to play too so when the day came, we split the half-hour lesson down the middle, and that's the way it was once a week until Ty graduated from high school. Since then we have really developed a love for the guitar - all music, really, but especially the guitar.

The blues is definitely what we aspire too. Although we don't exactly have the makings of what some people might call "authentic" blues players, we really try to incorporate the blues into everything we do.

Stevie Wonder deserves a paragraph in our bio. So here it is. He has influenced us and our music in countless ways.

In terms of our original material, for the most part we write based on what's going on in our lives, hoping that someone who hears our stuff can relate. That relationship between the performer and the listener is what makes music so powerful after all.
