Wordslave

The moniker Wordslave was birthed only some three years ago in Baltimore, Md. But the seed had been planted long ago. With a musician for a father, music seems to have been an ineveitable destiny. The trumpet (actually a used cornet) was really Words' first love but by the age of thirteen he had made a firm decision to be a vocalist. As a small child, reading was also a favorite passtime. Because of it he excelled in reading and writing in school which proved to be vital skills later on in both his personal and artistic development. By the time Wordslave finshed middle school he was certain that music was what he wanted to do with his life. Through highschool and college he used poetry and song as a means of escape and expression, all the while challenging himself to get better at the craft. The Baltimore open mic scene has been monumental for the young artist's confidence and fervor for language, music, and the marraige of the two. Now, as a legitimate poet, spoken word artist, emcee, and singer songwriter Wordslave is poised to set afire any stage he's blessed with the opprtunity to touch. Once music production becomes part of the arsenal it'll be almost impossible to stop him from reaching top! Stay tuned...peace. words.
