Work Release

BandRockBlues

The Work Release is a relentless rock/blues band from the mud of Mother Earth.

Biography

Work Release is a power trio of accomplished musicians who play an aggressive blend of funkrocklectica that’s sure to please any and all audiences, particularly those with a heartbeat. Based out of West Chester, PA, and Wilmington, DE, Tyler Purdy, Craig Hancock, and Tom Stanley function onstage as an osmotic unit.

Tyler’s smooth and evocative lyrics and guitar-playing runs the course from mellow introspection to full-on raw energy. His style sits well atop a rhythm section that both knows no boundaries and is one of the more powerful engine rooms in the area, absolutely guaranteed to move a dance floor.

The lyrics run the gamut from poking fun at life in general, and relationships in particular, to questioning the human condition. The music itself is a welcome change from the mediocre, industry-dull melodies spawned from most “modern rock” groups. The range of musical genres and genius employed in Tyler’s writing and the dynamics and musicality of Craig, Tom and Kenny's performances, both singularly and synergistically, make this group a can’t-miss entertainment option.

Discography

The songs on this EPK were done in the basement in DIY fashion. It's a little Lo-Fi but you get the idea.
