"W.O.R.M. signs record deal with Praga Khan’s new Lektroland label"

(The World Organization of the Righteous Movement teams up with the Lord of Acid)

Chicago rock/industrial act W.O.R.M. (a.k.a the World Organization of the Righteous Movement) has signed on with Praga Khan’s up & coming Lektroland label to release it’s 7th album,
“If Only You Were Here” is a much-anticipated concept album which is based around the always-compelling idea of “how far would you go for what you believe in?”

W.O.R.M. is the brainchild of Chicago singer/songwriter Mike Reidy, who has been the driving force behind the band since its inception in 1999, and he quotes
“If only you were here is a twenty track assault into the idea of giving up everything you’ve ever known, for something better, and finding out that the grass is not always greener.
Its based off a shot novel I’ve been working on loosely based off the cults and organizations of the past century. I think this is a great platform for this release, since we want the fans
to be as much of this as we are. “
W.O.R.M. has 5 previous releases on Martin Atkins’ Invisible label, and has shared the stage with Pigface, The Damage Manual, Bile, Apocalypse Theatre, Nocturne, Hanzel Und Gretel, and Project.44 (for which Reidy also performs on guitar), along with many others. While not easily classified into a particular genre, W.O.R.M. is influenced by a variety of noted acts from Nine Inch Nails to Ministry to the legendary Pink Floyd.

The Lektroland label is making it’s United States debut after much success in Europe, and is based around the innovative concept of offering “fan shares” which puts a new spin on the music industry by offering the unique opportunity to the fans to actually become part of the creative process, by purchasing fan shares to help fund the band, helping to achieve goals both in the studio
and out on the road.

Look for W.O.R.M. to be hitting the road later this summer in support of Lektroland and the new album. Their live show is a multilayered, relentless and chaotic attack on the senses that is not to be missed, and not one you will soon forget. You can find W.O.R.M. on facebook at facebook.com/joinworm, sample videos of past live shows on youtube at youtube.com/wormhostage, and you can join the movement by visiting their site on Lektroland’s Sonic Angel platform at http://www.sonicangel.com/artist/worm.
