"Wrabel Sideways"

You might not know Wrabel by name-- but unless you've been hiding under a rock the past few months or actively avoiding the radio, you've definitely heard of him. The LA-based singer and songwriter lent his vocals to Afrojack's massive hit "10 Feet Tall" back in February, and now he's breaking out on his own with a new EP and a crystal-clear pop sound.

We've had Sideways on loop ever since it first landed on our desks, and after hours of headbobbing and singing along, we can 100-percent confirm that this guy is your perfect poolside soundtrack. Stocked with the soulfulness of a Sia or Sam Smith, and a melodic pop DNA that throws back to icons like Paul Simon, the title track twists heartbreak into something, well, beautiful. And just like a glass of cold lemonade (or whatever else you drink while you're hanging out outside), it goes down smooth, easy, and totally sweet.

"Wrabel's 'Ten Feet Tall' Video Premiere"

Pop singer-songwriter Stephen Wrabel recently got a huge co-sign from superstar DJ Afrojack, who loved his tender piano ballad "Ten Feet Tall" so much that he jumped on it and released the track as an uptempo dance single. As Wrabel uses the single's momentum to prepare a solo album, he has unleashed an imaginative new music video for the original version of "Ten Feet Tall," premiering exclusively on Billboard.com:

Shot at an abandoned warehouse in Los Angeles by director Sherif Higazy, the "Ten Feet Tall" video is not full of post-production tricks -- so Wrabel's shoes and feet were drenched for hours during the shoot. Meanwhile, the buildings were wooden, the snow was made from the insides of diapers, and the rain comes from USC student holding water bottles over Wrabel.

Afrojack Video Interview: 'I'm Not EDM'

"Sherif had such a creative vision from the start, and was able to really capture visually what [co-writer] Chris Braide and I tried to capture lyrically and melodically with the song," says Wrabel. "I mean, it's all about falling in love. Those first minutes, hours, days, weeks when anything and everything feels possible."

While Afrojack's version of "Ten Feet Tall" appears on the Dutch producer's new album "Forget The World," Wrabel's version will appear on his Island Records debut, which will include collaborations with Greg Kurstin, Jim Eliot, Jimmy Hogarth and Drew Pearson, among others.
