soloists by nature, a band of brothers through nurture, WretchedU is a Houston based avante garde super-group. With a sound similar to the psychedelic style of The Dandy Warhols, and a feel which is reminiscent of Bright Eyes, WretchedU has the ability to take conventional musical structure and fuse it with an unconventional yet melodious cacophony similar to such groups as Fantomas or Sleepytime Gorilla Museum. However, unlike the more common noise based groups, the assault is soothing, and uplifting, much akin to Portishead. What becomes of all this is an unbelievable live performance which both lulls the audience into a comfort zone, as well as awakens them into a new realm of consciousness. this four piece delivers a warm wall of sound which swells within the audiophile until the cosmic climax is attained.
