Formed in May 2011, WTFunk celebrates funk with a 3-piece horn section bouncing off the sweet soul sounds of lead singer Nichi Boyle. Laying the back beat, the rhythm section locks all night long! WTFunk covers classic and soon to be classic artists like Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Adele, Aretha Franklin, Jackson 5, Dusty Springfield, The Blues Brothers, C-Lo Green, Prince – Maceo...Average White Band??? - its all there, and ensures for limited space on the dance floor. Since its residence as the house band at Peppers Pub on the boardwalk every Wednesday night last summer, WTFunk has been busy - playing weddings, corporate parties, fundraisers and bar gigs all over the city. WTFunk is a fun, energetic crowd pleaser. Check out the videos of the band opening up for Melvin Seales and the JGB Band late last year. WTFunk had a blast and is looking to expand on that in 2012.
