The video shows X-Ray either playing chess with himself or with a dam good look alike. He pleads: "Put the angry rap aside for a second". The new wave of Boston rappers are not impressed with violent lyrics, and are very impressive with crafting lyrics that still hold weight without the heavy-laden gangster rhymes. The video is B.E.T. ready, but unfortunately, with the way B.E.T. has been going lately, THEY'RE not real rap ready. Beat is on point and the rapper gives a great performance lyrically. Bio
Born in 1985, on October 10th, and raised in Boston, X-Ray was made to make music. His love for all genres has assisted him in being able to draw inspiration from all avenues of life. Having lived in both, the ‘hood and the ‘burbs, Ray aims to create music that is true to who he is, how he was raised, and what he strives to be. His brief time at Full Sail University in ’05-’06, gave him a glimpse into the world of the music industry and what is expected of the artist in front of the mic, as well as those behind the boards. He also developed friendships with some of the smartest and most talented people he’s ever met.
Now, along with the benefits of networking in school, and his Mass Mob family, X-Ray took his knowledge and love of music and began to invest into his own goals. In 2007, he linked up with Jared Hancock and Shawn Stewart of Surefire Creative Studios in Lowell, Ma and began to work on developing a strategy for his music. Following their guidance, X-Ray has began to record his debut EP, which has yet to be titled, but has released the 1st single off the project, “Summertime In The City” featuring Mista L.
Understanding that you only get what you put in, X-Ray continues to work hard on investing into his dream of showing the world that you can be successful by just being you. He’ll be the first to tell you that he’s never killed anyone and he was never the ‘hood dope boy, so he doesn’t feel the need to act like those figures on records. At the end of the day, he’ll be able to sleep fine knowing that what he is giving you is his real life, and no one will have to try to pull his card as he’s only played the hand he’s been dealt.
