XAMAN-EK make their first appearance on the Liege music scene in 1997 and directly appeal to the public for the fun they have in playing and their obvious desire to share it.
They then take the audience into a rock fusion trip subdued with funk latino accents.
Their lyrics talk about the respect for nature and human values, already showing a strong will to denounce the abuses and injustices of our societies, to the sound of a festive and boosting music.

After 10 years of unrestrained concerts across Europe, AMANEK produce their 1st album "Ke Pasa" (April 2006, in-house production), which is immediately successful.
But it is mainly onstage that XAMAN-EK gains its reputation and the respect of an audience captivated by their rhythmic messages. XAMAN-EK is above all a tribe that moves and makes people move, a real cure for today’s sluggishness. A generous and authentic group that inspires the audience with its good-humored and positive energy, while exuding with sincerity an appeal for tolerance and open-mindedness as well as a message of hope.
These musicians in perpetual quest for change, development and sharing offer us their vision of the world and like a maya star, take us on a trip into the heart of their mixed (shamanic) music.
In 2010, like the lizard that sloughs its skin over the years, XAMANEK goes through a change of look and removes the hyphen in its name, as a symbol of the progress made and of
their evolution over meetings and time.

The Pincheira brothers (Luis and Sergio), complementary singers and founders of XAMANEK, are now surrounded by Karim Freson (drums and percussion), Pierre Greco, stemming from the new jazz stage of Liège (low and low contrast), Olivier Hauregard, said "Olibwoy, a beat-maker acknowledged both on the Belgian and French reggae scene (accordion and programming) and Andres Lopez, an Ecuadorian guitarist and major figure on the Belgian reggae scene (electric guitar)."
The meeting and sharing of these multi-talented musicians will give birth, in the course of 2010, to the second and much expected album of the band, “SOMOS MUNDO",
A new repertoire, mostly in Spanish, even more deeply rooted in the heart of Latino rhythms (such as Cumbia, Merengue or more asserted Andean tones), always with this reggae background that has never left them. A colorful album displaying its strength in a spicy mixture, without concessions... A new trip offering stop-overs between invigorating rhythms and sweet blue melodies, between texts suggesting awareness and declaration of love to life.

With an ever growing musical maturity and a "live show" likely to compete with the greatest, the 2010 XAMANEK vintage goes even further on the path that has always been theirs: standing up for the mix of musical styles, the authenticity of their approach and their universal message...
