Bio

Xanthoula is a greek vocalist and composer. Starting from merely traditional greek projects (Chaonia, Evdousin) she focused later in projects crossing greek music with other modal musical cultures. Balkan music in Trio Tzane, Anatolian cultures in Comptines de Miel et Pistache and now India and Afghanistan in Anassa Ensemble. Their creation «The Lady and the Boat» is a deeply feminine musical journey exploring the relation to tha aquatic element - water.
Xanthoula has sang all over Europe and the Middle East, among others in Théâtre du Chatelet, Unesco Hall (Paris), Romain Agora (Athens), greek and french national television and radios of greece, france, bulgaria, turkey.
