”Venere di cenere” è il primo singolo degli XELA, prodotto da Giuliano Boursier per Sunrise Music Production. La band è composta da quattro giovanissimi musicisti (Alex, Alessio, Luciano e Fiamma) che hanno dato vita al loro progetto dopo essersi incontrati in occasione di una jam session dalle parti di Varese.

Di incroci tortuosi e incontri casuali la storia del rock ne è piena. Anche questa volta il destino ci ha messo lo zampino, e in occasione di una jam session dalle parti di Varese, quattro giovanissimi musicisti (Alex, Alessio, Luciano e Fiamma) danno inconsapevolmente vita a una nuova band: gli XELA.
Il nome (Alex al contrario) è la sigla con cui il giovane cantautore firma le sue prime canzoni. Perché dopo un periodo intenso speso a cantare cover tra pub e locali del milanese, gli XELA sentono un bisogno fisico di esprimere le proprie idee a suon di note. Venere di cenere è il titolo del singolo, apripista dell’imminente primo album del quartetto (distribuito Universal). L’esuberante band emo-rock, caratterizzata dalla singolare presenza di una batterista in gonnella, può reputarsi fortunata, perché il loro talent scout va sotto il nome di Giuliano Boursier, un produttore che non ha bisogno di presentazioni.
Il video di Venere di cenere – per la regia di Gaetano Morbioli - è un’autentica chicca: realizzato tra le tentacolari vie di Londra, vede gli Xela protagonisti di una singolare avventura in fuga dai Bobby, i tipici poliziotti inglesi di quartiere. Una storia dinamica e avvincente tra le strade londinesi, con tanto di... colpo di scena finale.

Bio
The components are Alex (voice / guitar / keyboards and piano), Luciano (bass guitar), Alessio (guitars) and Fiamma (drums). Their first album has a powerful sound, unique in Italy. They are ready to face the world as, thanks to Alex’s compositions, the Xela achieve the typical sound of the great rock'n'roll bands, and their concerts are full of energy and stage power. We can say that the Xela arise from the fusion of two Bands: on the one hand Alex and Alessio, on the other Luciano and Fiamma.
The meeting is casual and occurs in a club of the province of Varese during a jam session.
Among the four kids there is immediately a strong music understanding that drives them to start a cooperation, parallel to the two existing projects, initially made up only of occasional episodes that gradually become more frequent.
The first concerts in pubs in the provinces of Varese and Milan immediately show the great live energy and the desire to offer something different from the usual covers. This gives birth to the idea of remaking the songs in a style that will subsequently be defined as the Xela style.
After some concerts as a cover band, Alex realizes that perhaps it is time to take out the songs written by him in the past and decides to propose them.
Here is the real turning-point and the decision to find a name that can define a personal style.
Alex’s proposal is to use the name with which he used to sign his pieces for the band.
The kids accept with great enthusiasm!
So the Xela give up their former "activities" in order to devote themselves completely to the project; at this point the priority becomes finding a producer able to exploit the potential of the band.
That’s how the meeting with producer Giuliano Boursier comes about, with the decision to make an entire album of ten tracks.
After an intensive re-engineering work on writing songs and the definition of a sound that characterizes the band, Giuliano Boursier believes that the Xela are ready to face the record market.
The single Xela record, "Venere di cenere" will be launched on the radio in April 2009, accompanied by a videoclip entirely shot in London under the direction of Gaetano Morbioli.
The first Xela album will soon be in all stores of physical and digital disks.
