Xico Peligroso is an electronic artist and producer known for his intimate and expressive storytelling. Citing an expansive and diverse list of influencers across nearly every genre, Xico proudly taps into these influences in subtle and unexpected ways. Xico's music is built on juxtaposition, contrasting seemingly different sounds, ideas, and feelings to create a new, more complex and comprehensive experience for the listener.
Scar City (released November 5, 2016) showcases a fuller, more confident Xico exploring a feeling of scarcity learned in childhood that continues to permeate every adult experience. The album sees Xico leaning more heavily on his rock and new wave influences, evoking a 1980s feel with modern production. The lead single, "Turn That Shit Around" is a feisty disco-funk jam about managing anxiety and depression. The companion EP, Sister Cities, will be released in the summer of 2017.
