Bio

XpectationZ consists of 3 best friends living a dream; helping each other create and expand their talents via unique individual musical influences, from Eric Clapton to My Chemical Romance, James Brown to New Found Glory. Easy to follow lyrics and catchy hooks make XZ songs great for the crowd sing-a-long. The 3 part harmonies and energetic stage performance make for a very "Xciting" live show.

Once Upon A Time.....

The story of XpectationZ is a tale as old as time...seeing that I really don't know what that means, I'll just tell you how they came to be. XZ formed in their sophomore year of high school with four members: Eric, Eugene, Keegan, and Rob. The four of them played a lot of shows and built up a strong fan base locally, especially after winning a battle of the bands at Peabody's (in Cleveland). Upon graduation; Keegan went off to college so XZ was left without a bass player. One day, this kid named Seth arrived early for an extra credit focus group thingy for his psychology class when he saw a flyer that said "looking for bass player", and there was a name and phone number to call. Seth use to play bass for a group and he thought it would be fun to get back into the music scene so he called Eric. They talked a bit and set up a practice. Seth showed up and they all just clicked.

After a few shows, Rob left the band to pursue other musical interests. Then there were three. Thinking that XZ was done for (seeing that Rob sang 47.6% of the songs) the three were feeling a little low, but knew that they all had the skill to overcome this loss. They practiced even more and became very tight in their sound. After awhile, Eugene felt decided he wanted to go to school for recording.. IN FLORIDA!!!! This was a HUGE problem, seeing that Eugene was incredible on drums and it would be near impossible to replace him!

When he left, Eric and Seth played a few shows acoustically while trying to find a drummer. Seeing that drummers are about as common as Michael Jackson liking women, their plan fell through. Seth and Eric then began to pursue their own solo acoustic acts, and talked rarely. When Eugene returned from Florida, no one thought that XZ would reunite, and they didn't.

Then one day, Eugene asked Eric if he wanted to play a show at Screwy Louies, and the two of them decided to make it a "XZ reunited show"; so they called seth up and got two practices in before the show. The chemistry seemed to still be there and the show went awesome. Everyone thought that they had never stopped playing together. With the success of this show-- Eric, Eugene, and Seth got to talking and thought, "Why don't we try playing again?" So, to make a long story...just as long-- XpectationZ is back together--after life lessons learned, relationships, jobs, and college-- and sounding better than ever... they lived happily ever after.

The End.
