"Boom Boom Chik Blog"

Nothing beats toe-tapping, head bobbin’ disco grooves in my book and that was exactly came on when I was walking home. These delectable nu-disco grooves come courtesy of Russian label/artist Xuman. The Xuman collective is a conglomeration of a wide variety of artists, who all share the Xuman Records studio as well as a common musical vision. That vision has led to this excellent pop track called “Panic” off the upcoming Xuman Records compilation Tales.

Take the best elements of disco from the golden age add some 21st century electro-pop production and you have a sing along song that MUST be played everywhere.

Don’t panic if you suddenly have the urge to dance after listening to this song, its normal, your human. - Boom Boom Chik

"Danger! Danger! Blog"

Russia, you’re the new Germany of electro. Xuman is a Russian label, crew and studio that gathers good rock and electro artists under one umbrella. Later this autumn they will release a compilation album called Tales that will give us a taste of the sound that will rule Xuman.

This is a track by the label boss Xuman and label-mates Panic, and also the first track on the compilation, and judging by this track, Xuman will be the label to keep our eyes on this year. It’s disco, funky pop-inspired electro.

Love this. - Danger! Danger!

Annnnd we're back, with a great tune from Russians Xuman. I am slowly becoming alarmed at the great quality of music coming from Russia. Between Xuman and Tesla Boy, I'm starting to wonder if there are a bunch of Swedish people moving to Moscow.

This is serious pop music right here. There's something about over-the-top, almost cheesy pop that only people in Sweden, Norway, and Russia can pull off. For some reason they dive in so hard, with all of their heart, that you can't help but take them seriously. Tesla Boy's EP was so polished it was almost blinding in bubble gum pink. Could they have pulled that off if they were from LA??? HELL NO. But that EP is GREAT.

This song right here is right up the same alley. From the uber cheesy bass solo opening the track, straight through the rocket fueled chorus, Panic is nothing but concentrated endorphin releasing funk-pop.

We've all been there. Days when everything goes wrong. You just want to pull your hair out. That's this song right there. Its for those moments when you just want to run and hide.

Xuman is legit. Go check him out on myspace k? - Binary Entertainment

"Et Musique Pour Tous blog"

You ever have that feeling of being so overwhelmed with life that you either get really dispirited or you turn into Rocky and ride the storm like a true champion? Well, this song represents the latter. You can’t avoid life’s ups and downs but the worst thing you can do in difficult times is wallow in your sorrow and get caught up thinking about how hard things are, you gotta keep it moving. This song is all about keeping it moving, I mean when that chorus comes in at 33 seconds the track explodes into one of the most exiting and motivational moments I’ve heard in a long time.

"This is panic! You wanna live it with no sustain. Don’t you panic! Just try to keep it inside your brain…"

Life is a funny thing because so much it has to do with perspective. A problem is just a bad way of looking at something that can potentially help you in one way or another. Anyways, I couldn’t think of a better song to counter-attack those Monday blues, enjoy. - Et Musique Pour Tous

Bio

Xuman ['hju:mn] is an indie pop band from Moscow, Russia founded May 11th 2009 by Sasha Xuman and Ilya Sosnitskiy. Through the band's lifetime their style switched from electro pop to indie rock music. But by releasing Play single in December 2012 they have found their own style. Xumans first public appearance was made in December 2009. During 2010 Xuman has been forming its live band and started playing gigs across Russia. When the Golden Age album came out in March 2011, Xuman started its Golden Age tour that ended in October of that same year. There were no live acts of the band in 2012 as band members were occupied with Xuman Records sound production work. By the end of 2012 Xuman started making new tracks again with a fundamentally different approach and released the new 'Play' single in December. In May 2013 they released '49 Nymphomaniacs' EP. A new live program was presented at Bosco Fresh Fest in Moscow the same month.
