Bio

If you want to see a show, then you simply see Xyzyx. (Pronounced 'ziz-iks')

The unique, Los Angeles-based Positive Power Pop/Rock 5-piece is united by Microphonist David Z (Maryland Heights, MO), Johnny X on Rhythm Guitar and Vocals (La Crosse, WI), Paully X on Lead Guitar and Vocals (La Crosse, WI), Adam Y on Bass (Buffalo Grove, IL), and T-Love Y (Rochester Hills, MI) on Drums.

Formed underground in August 2007, after two separate season contestants of NBC's reality show "Average Joe" (David Z from St. Louis, and Johnny X from Madison, WI) met through chance encounter and found themselves randomly harmonizing in public. They took a live-in-the-moment action to full force, and have been performing live since March 2009.

Rockin' their brash 'Team Xyzyx' uniforms, songs like "Rock This Up", "2012", and "Expendable (We're Not") will be in your face; traditional, fist-pumping rock ballads like "Our Lives" and "For You" will move; and upbeat dance numbers such as "Melissa" and "Kirk Cameron" speak for themselves, with energetic pop-rock-punk expression.

Recently opening for Missing Persons at Key Club and often direct support for Steel Panther at House of Blues Sunset Strip, Xyzyx face-meltings usually occur at The Roxy Theatre, Whisky A Go Go, and The Viper Room.

Xyzyx is a plethora of fun, energy and physical animation, combined with catchy, infectious numbers. A cross between Weezer and the Foo Fighters, the stage presence of Spinal Tap, throw in some 4-part harmonies reminiscent of 70s homage, and you've got Xyzyx.
