These are the words of me, Sahara A. Brown, a fourteen year old high school freshmen. My stage name is name is Xzilerate. I am Detroit born, and at my age, I am going to take the rap game by its neck since im already thinking on that level. Most people my age who are trying to get into the industry can't see pass the uncut girls and the bling bling to know how the industry operates, and to know that in case of an emergency you must have another plan. There are no guarantees in the rap game. I know this; that is why my plan B is totally opposite from the music biz which is going to college and graduating and stepping into the engineering game.
So where did it all start for me? Well I started by listening to Lil’Bow Wow and reciting his songs. Then I started writing my own songs at the young age of nine. At the age of ten I started recording songs with my 2 sisters and only younger brother. At that time they were eight, seven, and four years old. We had a group called B4 but it wasn’t working out so we broke up. Now only me and my brother are still at it. I record at home in my room with a 4 track recorder and a digital reference microphone. My songs are based on my life experiences but I can also write about big whips, new kicks, big chains, etcetera. Now if someone comes up to me and asks what they could do to be like me, I would say always believe in yourself, never give up and give it your all.
