Ms Hazel Thomas: Born in 1972 to the parents Mr and Mrs Thomas, all of Hazels family were musical, the family singing together in the house will always be Hazel’s favourite moments in times, the family has eclectic taste in music such as Sankey to Motown. Hazel grew on the influences of Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Carlene Davis, Marcia Griffiths, Tim Chandelle, The Jackson Five and Tracey Chapman the list is endless.

Whilst in school Hazel performed in several bands. Hazel did become a mother at a young age agreeing “the struggle is real”. Hazel continued to venture into the music industry from many avenues, Hazel’s teenage years was hard being a woman in the industry, so she decided to learn all genres of influences. Hazel helped promote other artists on their journey. Over the years Hazel has embarked on several projects with plethora established artists, who then taught her their knowledge.

Hazel speaks fondly of all mentors Lloyd Coxsone, Errol Nueffel, Bird, Sugar Minott, Horace Andy, Singer Man, Charjan, they all collectively nurtured, supported and inspired Hazel to believe in her musical ability, for that Hazel thanks them all for helping her with, “No Body Knows” was written by Empress Oracle I, It has been over 30years since Hazel lost her beloved farther, Hazel suffered the loss of so many close friends, within the past 5 years. Hazel states, “the track I recorded at the Proud to be studio firstly with Rass Striker and then took it to The Dread UK was what I gave to others in times of upliftment and overstanding”. M.D.E. Gregory Fabulous produced the new version to the track in the same studio.

Hazel Produced born and raised with the Dread UK and officially released on media down load platforms with C D baby. Hazel is a music entrepreneur, who as formed an organisation that helps the artists develop their skills and abilities. Some artists can feel vulnerable in the music industry, that is also where hazel and her team mentor with knowledge and guidance. Hazel prefers to work with live musicians in the studio and on stage. Hazels performance is remarkable one critic stated, “she is mystical outstanding unique vocal technician. Hazel writes her own songs too in the genre of comforting and memorable melodies.

Hazel has the dulcet tones of Macey Gray. In 2017 Hazel had the honour of working with the renowned Daddy Screw an engineer from the famous channel one stable’s they also produced tracks like, “ Positive vibes” and “Our Duty”, originally written by Freddie McGregor in 2018. Having opportunity shine a light on hazel a second time, Hazel had the chance to work with another renowned engineer/producer, KING Spears from S.M.H. 

Finally Hazel found a producer that understood the beauty of Hazel’s music, Producing tracks like, “until you lose it ““Rastaman inna You Kitchen”, and many more.
