Bio

Christopher Thomas Randolph professionally known as Ya Boy Dutch was born on June 9th 1983 is an entrepreneur, producer and rapper. Ya Boy Dutch was raised in the north side of Richmond, Virginia. He is the only son of Tommy and Patricia Randolph. Ya Boy Dutch graduated from John Marshall High School in 2001. Unfortunately, young Christopher lost his father in December 3, 2002 to cancer, leaving his mother alone with out the two closest people in her life.

In Oct 2002, Ya Boy Dutch was incarcerated for 9 felonies including abduction, & malicious wounding. Although facing over 25 years, he was blessed to come out with a 3 yrs prison sentence for malicious wounding and use of a firearm during which he realized his talent for music. After his release from the penitentiary, he established GainGreen Entertainment and became the co-founder of Black Flag (a movement of labels and artistes from various parts of Richmond).

"When I got imprisoned, I was facing 25 years or more, however through the blessings of Allah and a pit-bull lawyer, John McGarvey, I was only sentenced to serve 3 yrs. That’s when I decided to take my talent and music seriously.”

He started a buzz in the local rap scene with street bangers like "DBoy Wife", "She Watchin", and "Money ova here". Although the local music scene was becoming accustomed with Ya Boy Dutch’s music, his mentality was not ready to let go the negative ways of the streets.

"I couldn’t leave the streets of Northside alone for nothing in the world! I swore I was going to focus on music but rap was still a dream and street money was a reality.”

It was during another 6 months imprisonment from January 2009 to May 2009 that he finally decided to leave the streets alone for good and change the game plan for his music.
"I felt like everybody was rapping about ‘trapping and busting heads’ and most of these rappers never seen a scale or chopper let alone sold a 100 bricks. I felt like my reputation was already certified in these streets so I didn’t have to prove s*** to anybody by rapping about it. That’s when I decided to direct my attention towards the people that actually buy albums, FEMALES".

Soon after linking with the other founder of Black Flag, Mr. Antonio White also known as Mr. Black Flag, he signed his first artist Pricele$$. Ya Boy Dutch has proceeded to set the city on fire with hit singles like "She Bout 2 Get 8", a sexual anthem for many males and females and also dropping street anthems like "I Know" and one of the most controversial singles ever "Ms.Obama”. Ya Boy Dutch realized that his forte really is with the female audience.
“I definitely have a bigger female audience than male. I have yet to meet a female that doesn’t like my music. As far as males, go real street n***** that keep it 100 and the n***** that feel good about themselves love my music. I just keep it real. Men act like they don’t eat p****, s*** I will eat the f*** out a p****."

With a clear purpose behind his music Ya Boy Dutch is currently wrapping up his mix tape (untitled), while working on his solo album and the up coming Black Flag mix tape & DVD.
"We're the biggest movement this city has ever seen.”

Even though numerous industry insiders (including Kevin Black, who helped established Death Row and discovered Eminem and 50 Cent) referred to him as the "the new light-skinned Luke" and believes he has the some of the most controversial music since N.W.A., Ya Boy Dutch maintains his own individuality.

"Being compared to Uncle Luke and N.W.A. is the greatest honor, but I believe I have a unique style. At the end of the day, I am doing what I know best, ME.”
