Bio
Justin Dynamic Gunderson has enough energy to power a fleet of hybrid cars, enough soul to raise a church roof, and enough music in his blood to contaminate the average man. Born in Canadas Capital on January 14, 1984, the son of a hard working mother of two, and a well known Reggae singer as his father, it is no wonder why Dynamic has music pumping through his veins.
At 16 he began writing rhymes, rhymes he remembers as being really bad at first. Gradually, they started to get better as Dynamic put down the pen and began composing out loud, without writing anything down. Now, when its time to write, he can sit down, open his mind and in no time line after line of socially conscious, well-crafted rhymes comes spilling forth, something he attributes largely to what he calls a connection with God. He has written hundreds of tracks, with lines like When you ride, you better devour the mileage, cause theyll kill you if they know you got some powerful knowledge, or They cant kill everyone off like Tupac so they dont, they give us Aids, S.A.R.S and Flu Shots, and It doesnt matter if your black or white, but if youre mixed it matters cause then theres no KKK or Black Panthers. From there he only got better and by the time he was 18 it was evident that this was no hobby. Dynamic formed a group with local emcee Flawless called New Elements and in the summer of 2004 they joined forces with a local group Broken Bridge, a venture that proved to be classic. We were on a real roll at one point we thought we were going to get famous right away, he said, laughing. But then the realities of business set in. So he learned how to play ball. The Broken EP sold 1000 copies, his first real experience with guerrilla marketing. From there he was featured on the NuStyle Mixtape , recorded The Broken Mixtape: Blazed & Confused and the I Aint Got Much Mixtape with Dialekt. A few years ago Dynamic produced Ottawas first Hip Hop DVD series, Hold it Down as well as Cap City and if thats not enough he also hosted The B.R.L Show on CHUO 89.1FM where he received an award for Local Talent Development in 2009.
Now a solo artist Dynamic is currently living in Toronto, ON., and has recently become a father to a beautiful baby girl, he is also focusing on BringYaEhGame.com a website he founded in 2010 to help promote Canadian talent. He is still making music, his latest projects can be downloaded for free on his website, instead of sold to you on a street corner. He released the Free Promo Mixtape mixed by DJ Ducats, A Genius Gone Mad The EP, and at the beginning of 2012 his most recent project When I Cut A Record. Like every verse he writes and every chorus he perfects, these projects have come together so seamlessly. Dynamic will certainly keep cultivating his gift for taking a beat and putting just the right touch on it, and whittling a track down to its purest form without breaking a sweat. This is just the beginning.
