Yalls is the project of Berkeley based producer Dan Casey. Yalls‘ compositions are filled to the brim with glitched out epiphanies and organic textures that never feel stale in the increasingly saturated world of “beat” music. That being said, Casey has two tremendous albums, both of which you can check out here, but he most recently dropped a compilation that collects his extensive remix collection. On July 4th, Two Michael Jordans dropped their newest tape on us-- the first physical release from Oakland's Dan Casey, aka Yalls. The self-titled cassette collects Yalls' first two digital EPs, then adds nine more tracks to the mix for an hour of zonked-out beat-folk. "Germs," one of my favorite cuts from the tape, was recently given the video treatment by Chocolate Alaska. Watch as a demolition site explodes into a sexual sci-fi fantasy, then dilates outward into birds-eye-view images of suburbs and cityscapes. --Jheri Evans, Get Off The Coast - Altered Zones
Steezy Ray Vibes, whose name hopefully references the tragic blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan, is a new project by Dan Casey, the Oakland producer bka Yalls. Though Steezy has only released a single song, and a demo at that, “Empty City” is beautifully expansive, patiently unfolding a midnight guitar into a full-on morning street scene with layered vocals and pops of drums. - The Fader
Dan Casey--aka the dude behind patchwork-electronica act Yalls--recently uploaded a new track called "Dim Touch" on Soundcloud. Casey reffered to the piece as a "nighttime beat", and it's certainly slow, steady, and deliberate enough to soundtrack the winding down of an interesting evening. No word on if this song will be a part of a new release, but "Dim Touch" is more than pleasant enough on its own.

From the haze of the Easy Bay comes Dan Casey aka Yalls melding funk, pop, & ambient elements to create electronic music that was described by Altered Zones as “zonked-out beat-folk” and as “weirded-out pop gems” by Smoke Don't Smoke.
Yalls' 2011 self titled compilation tape on Two Michael Jordans & follow-up single on Crash Symbols showcase Casey's eclectic style & warped production skills while highlighting his pop sensibilities.
In addition to a steady stream of new songs, Yalls is also gaining notoriety for his remixes & collaborations with other East Bay musicians. Noted for high energy and cosmic visuals, the Yalls live show relies on looping synths and highlight Casey's vocal stylings. Yalls has fittingly shared stages with Grimes, Neon Indian, Teen Daze, among others.
