Still working on that hot first release.

Feeling a bit camera shy

Out of the ashes of a car crash in 2004 Jaik Miller founded Yama Bandit with Bass player Marco Ferrero. Jaik Miller formerly of the "wusscore" band XanaX 25 brings his enlightening songwriting to a new level in Yama Bandit. In the spring of 2005 Yama Bandit played there first gig at the THG presents New Orleans Jazz Fest. Following a year of playing shows as a duo drummer Max Tucker was added in the spring of 2006, then while on the west coast shooting on the set of "Monk" Max's friend lefty guitar player Garth MacAleavy was brought in and the band was born. Yama Bandit has been touring both coast with notable stops headlining shows at CBGB'S in NYC and The Rainbow Room in L.A. With a recently completed studio effort with Grammy nominated producer Matt Stein the first release "The Corrections" featuring guest performances by Todd Stoops (RAQ), Megan andrews, Johnah Smith and JP Bowersock (Ryan Adams) is set to release in Jan 2007.

Yama Bandit is sponsored by Stone Coast Brewing Co. makers of 420 IPA who provides the band with much love and a lot of beer.
