Yan Abelardo

Singer-songwriter Yan Abelardo is a familiar face in the Metro. An indie-folk solo artist from Makati, Philippines with his trademark tool of musicality expressed in his various tapping techniques, percussive guitar styles, and hybrid method. The sensational musician has the ability and versatility to create musical-wandering possible with his unique take on composing heartfelt songs, and tender guitar riffs  complemented with the rawness of his voice. 

Yan Abelardo's music career highlighted as early as 2012. Started from creating song covers from various artists to finally performing his own musical compositions in 2014. He is an active member of various musical organizations such as Soundcloud 

Philippines, Songwriters Philippines, Organisasyon ng mga Pilipinong Mang-aawit, and an alumnus of Elements National Music Camp 2015 -- a national singing-songwriting camp in the Philippines where notable independent artists emerged such as Bullet Dumas, Clara Benin, Keiko Necessario and Reese Lansangan. 

Yan staged his broader public attention with his musical dynamics and have performed at SoFar Sounds Manila, a global movement that brings magic back to live music, and Fete De La Musique 2016, or World Music Day 2016 in the Philippines. 

With his charismatic sound, Yan Abelardo is now in gear participating in different music productions and open mic sessions particularly World Extravaganza and Word Art Manila. He also took part in various indie compilation albums released independently and have been featured online as a newly emerging artist.
