Yanne

Having spent several years perfecting her voice in clubs and bars in her native Denmark, 26 year old Yanne was spotted by songwriter/A&R Manager Steffen Gilmartin (Sony, TG Management, Danish Music Team..) who was blown away by her unique vocal style. Yanne and Steffen started a writing partnership and later on did co-writes with Mike Pela (Sade producer), Rob Cass (Sylvia Powell, Estelle) and many more. During frequent trips to London Yanne met up with Soren Rasted (Aqua writer/producer) and was invited to sing on three songs for Sorens new album Lazy Boy (Universal). This project has been out in most of Europe, US, Australia and Asia. She performed with Lazy Boy at the Zulu Awards show for TV2 (national TV) also performing the end song with a large group of famous Danish artists. During August 2004 Yanne made a video in a duet with famous Danish/American singer James Sampson for the Danish Olympic song in Athens. This video was aired daily for over two months and created a strong profile for Yanne in Denmark. At the end of 2004 Yanne and Steffen teamed up with UK producers Rob Cass and Peter Larsen the result became the song Sign and was instantly picked up by Record Of The Day as their no 1 hot tip of the month. With the increased interest in Yanne from managers, record companies etc. she signed a production deal with Rob Cass, Peter Larsen and Steffen Gilmartin, currently working on material for her first album.
