Yaocave – Pop 4/4 7? (“Digital-only 7?? Pssht.” – David Ferris) - Weird Canada
The track carries this heavily ambient aesthetic while still using organic guitar textures to create it. It’s a refreshing approach to creating atmosphere and one that works well with Yàocavé’s talent and delivery. There’s a really nice range in the vocals here and the emotion and feel of his voice really ties the track together. In essence, The Great Wall Walk, 90 Days, 1988 proves that there’s intelligent simplicity in music, and that effective arrangements can give stripped down approaches to music a much larger sound - Heart and Soul
