YAVESS CHIEF OF MOUNTAIN ON HIGH

Yavess has over 9 years of Music Business experience and is a former student of the San Antonio College Music-Business Program. She is also a member of the Texas Music Coalition, Recording Academy, and SABA (San Antonio Broadcasters Association) affiliate. The start of her music-business experience began in the year 2002, when she became co-owner of Open Mouth Entertainment, an independent record label in Dallas, Texas. She began to learn the true intricacies of the music industry and formed, JcManagement Co., to be the voice of the artist. Yavess has counseled and managed talent from the Dallas, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio areas. For many years she has helped numerous independent artists in all genres with their music-business needs. Yavess is actively involved with the community of San Antonio, Texas through numerous programs such as "Feed Tha Streets". Feed Tha Streets was designed by William Banks of GrindStone Entertainment to feed the streets of San Antonio through music by raising funds for the at-risk youth of the community. The vision of Feed Tha Streets is to provide free food, good health awareness, and low cost after-school music programs for the at-risk youth. Yavess has worn many hats in the music industry as an entrepreneur, spoken words artist, singer/songwriter, producer, manager, promoter, booking agent, event coordinator, publisher,and music-business counselor/mentor.As a spoken words artist Yavess is known as "Chief of Mountain on High" aka thA CHIEF. Yavess has performed at Bill’s Record Store, Suenos Sabrosos Ice Cream Parlor, North Dallas Urban Art Center, Nairobi’s and numerous other hot spots in the Dallas/ Fort Worth Area. Yavess currently resides in San Antonio/Austin and has performed at The Hide Out, Ruta Maya, Hot Mamma's Cafe, Borders Bookstore, Sam’s Burger Joint, On The Halfshell, Mama Lee's, Salute' International Bar, The Cove, and San Antonio College. Currently the sole-proprietor of Etheric Plane Music, she is devoted to love, poetry, music, social change, and spiritual awareness through continued education and service learning .
