Bio

Y.A., a group consisting of two 20 year-old hip-hop artists from the ruthless streets of North Philadelphia by the names of Bliss and Tri-State, is ready to take the entertainment industry by storm. Notice the emphasis of saying the "entertainment industry" instead of just the music scene. The duo, whose name "Y.A." is broken down to mean "Young Americans", has created a collection of songs that blend together a variety of musical styles and influences. The name was taken from the 1993 infamous gangster flick "The Young Americans", a hard-hitting story about a new breed of young gangsters growing powerful in the era of drug prohibition. With both, Bliss and Tri-State, being 20 years of age and only 5 days of birth apart it is easy to see why they share a similar charisma that compliments each other. Unlike most unsigned hip-hop acts, Y.A. have no problem providing radio-friendly tracks for their listeners. The dynamic duo shows no boundaries or limitations by displaying back-to-back heat song-after-song, consistently. Bliss also is a producer, producing most of the beats/instrumentals that Y.A. uses to make songs. Bliss and Tri-State both collaborate to not only write their own vocals but also those of R&B acts. "Even though we can't sing ourselves, we still have an ear and vibe for making other genres of music, whether if it's pop, R&B or alternative, " says Bliss without hesitation. Already having over 300 songs completed and waiting on standby to be recorded in the studio, Y.A. are now focused on scoring a deal with a major record label. Ready or not, Y.A. will be the next big thing to happen to the hip-hop community and you don't have to be a psychic to see that there is a very bright future ahead of them.
