Yazoo Street Scandal

Even though the Yazoo Street Scandal dabbles into a very wide selection of genres, the band always seems to find themselves falling into one category in particular: Rock and Roll. While each band member finds influences in timeless music, from the band to the beatles, they also take refuge in the music of today, from the flaming lips to the black keys. Centralized in Yellow Springs (dayton area), Ohio, the band finds themselves at home in such a comfortable and respectable place, a place to harvest pure and timeless music. Proving to anyone under the sun that there is still something genuine to be said, still something sacred and pure and new. From the entire time the band has been playing, since 2007, there has always been a smooth connection musically and conceptually from band member to band member, listener to listener. When living in times that are changing more and more each individual day, there needs to be something uplifting, even if it's hard, to spark a feeling, to spark a change to parallel the times. A celebration is in order, of anything and everything.
