"Get it How You Live!"

Kenny Faure aka Ya Boy Kool is so in his element, writing songs and singing to his own lyrics. This singer/songwriter may be new on the scene but his sound is reminiscent of old school R&B with the hip hop flavor. These days you can find Kool spending most of his time at the music studio.
"I’m just spreading the love. Music affects people in different ways and I try to cover all bases." And he certainly does from the move your body sound of Get Some to the mid tempo confection Raincheck, Kool’s music is sure to please.
Kool is writing songs everyday and spends about 5 hours in a recording session perfecting the sound. Kool recently signed with Disappearing Ink/Gailington Publishing as a writer and has already had 2 out of 3 song submissions selected for artist placement. I asked what he liked most about writing songs and he said "It’s the hook. I think the hook is the best thing about the song. It’s the part that catches the ear. The part that you can’t get out of your head. You find yourself singing it over and over, like my song She Give Me Love." He sings the hook for me, "She gimme love, love, love, love." He’s right, the song has a nice hook and I’m looking forward to hearing the entire cut.
You can check out his singles Raincheck, Get Some, and Dats Wzup on iTunes and on Ya Boy Kool’s fan page on facebook. Many Lies, his new single, will be released on iTunes under LL Cool J’s label Boomdizzle. He is also working with Global Entertainment on a single slated for release this summer. Things are moving quickly for Kool and he’s ready for the ride. "I was born to do this and this is what makes me happy."
When Kool is not writing or performing he spends time with his family. "Family is very important to me. I’m an only child and my parents mean the world to me. They support me and keep me motivated while I pursue my dream and passion of entertaining. The music business is a challenge to break into but they believe in me and that’s a good feeling."
It was only a little over a year ago when Kool set out to set the music world on fire. This singer/songwriter has what it takes to make it. His mantra: "Get It How You Live! no excuses, just get it done." He is a serious artist with plenty of talent, creativity, and passion. We will definitely hear more from Ya Boy Kool.

Still working on that hot first release.

Kenn“Kenny” E. Faeth ure born in Madisonville, Louisiana is an R&B/ Hip Hop singer/songwriter lighting up the music scene around the New Orleans area and expanding his musical presence across and outside the United States. He has a Maxie Single called “Sorry I Kept You” that was released on iTunes, Rapsody, and Amie Street music download websites in November 2009 with much success.
Kenny’s singing interest began when he was just 4 years old sitting up in the church choir next to his singing grandmother. His soulful sound can also be attributed to old school sounds by the likes of Sly and the Family Stone, Donnie Hathaway, and Prince. He has also been influenced by the artistry of Elton John, Boyz II Men, and Donnell Jones, just to name a few.
People ask me where my lyrics come from. They come from my own life experiences, things I hear that other people are going through and sometimes I just get a word or a tune in my head and just go with it. It’s all about life, about love, and having a good time.

With songs like “Rain Check” to “Get Some” his soulful sound appeals to a wide arena of listeners from the rebounding heart to the crew kickin’ it at the club.
This project began in December 2008, its has always been my dream to be a solo artist. Since December 2008, I’ve been in the studio recording. I have also done a few performances in Baton Rouge, LA , Covington, LA and New Orleans, LA. I released the single “Rain Check” in August 2009 which received a great response and airplay on Q93fm in New Orleans, LA. In Novemeber 2009, In November 2009 I started working on my music video for the song “Rain Check”, which was completed and released on YouTube on December 30th, 2009. In January 2010 I appeared on the New Orleans, Cox Cable live broadcast show HipHop n Fashion.
