"Yeah You Right" says it all. Driven by thunderous drums, bending-numbing bass cords, hot innovative guitar licks ad powerful, growling vocals, the YYR band serves up a contagious and infectous interpretation of alternative and classic rock favorites.
Formed in 2005, the group is quickly becoming known in the local music scene. The band has played at numerous venue's including The Bengal, Hurricane's, St.Matthew's Fair, and the concert series in downtown New Orleans promoted by the Downtown Development District. Future engagements include Southport Hall and Fred's Bar in Baton Rouge.
Band personel are all experienced musicians, having each mastered several instruments, beginning before high school. The primary vocalists of the band is a U.S. Marine who brings besides a great vocal talent, also a wealth of real life experiences to the band. This can be felt in his strong, riveting vocals.
Members of the band are confortable playing most types of music and are proud to be counted as lovers of southern rock, alternative rock from the 90's and current alternative artists, ska music and a little blues.
This mix of talent, musical influences and their dedication make the YYR band one that just cannot be ignored. They always "give it all up" at every performance by storming through a play list that music patrons want to hear and enjoy.
The YYR Band promises at the end of each show to make their audiences proclaim, "YEAH YOU RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
