Years opening slot tore into a high-paced groove onslaught I was not expecting to see or feel leaving me wanting more as they were only alloted 20 minutes to demo their style. The band I was originally there to see quickly escaped my mind as the mood turned solely to Years of Cold, new-comers to a sluggish music enviornment
who promise to change the direction of SuperCharged Rock!!!....

While still in the midst of recording their first-to be released EP thru their own independent moniker HeavenPoint Productions, sample material is now streaming of Count Your Blessing's and Disaster. These tracks are early versions of material recorded on the eve of Years very first summer tour 2008. New material is being recorded, mixed and mastered as we speak set for an early spring 2009 release!!

YEARS of COLD: an uncommon twist from the average music experience of today, features five unlikely cohorts whose goals are unique in pushing the limits of an often confined and lack-luster music industry. Heavy, soft, brutal, beautiful; the listener gets it ALL with precision and focus!! Years is comprised of various El Paso, Texas based musicians and session players who have found a common ground amongst each other to express originality and themselves through song and performance. The only boundary this quintet sets against itself is to not have any boundaries AT ALL and strives to maintain a constant level of growth thru writing and performing live any and everywhere possible!!! Within its first year of inception, YEARS of COLD have comprised a system of independence and structure in an unsure music market by- (1). Building their own studio insuring constant access to record inspiration and create at will (2). Book local, regional and national dates constantly independently... (3). Create their own merch and product lines for sale to the public (4) Constantly looking to improve and reinvent a fresh vibe and feel , ... With determination, integrity, persistence and hard work, it won't be long till this West Texas act is a house-hold name!!! Having already accomplished successful opening dates for the likes of In This Moment, Drowning Pool, God Forbid, Born of Osiris and The Veer Union along with many others with more to come, this is only the tip of the Iceberg so to speak for this fresh Texas quintet!
