JMIEntertainment and Artistic Freedom LLC. is proud to present Yella Presidential representing Huntsville, Alabama. Just imagine an artist fresh on the rap scene who combines concise, deceptively understated, lyrical insight and sometimes devastating wit with world-class originality and style.

Songwriter and lyricist Yella is destined to be a maverick in the rap music world. He defies any easy pigeonhole. His witty songs about modern life, portray mental pictures painted on a musical canvas. His lyrics reach deep in the heart of todays culture as well as society as a whole.

His songs, which range from thoughtful to silly to poetic, show that he knows his way around the English language and American culture.

Up and coming southern rapper Yella the 19 year rap phenom shows the true meaning of a lyricist. His talent and swag are second to none. Yella was born August 16th 1988 is St. Louis, Missouri. At age 5 he moved to Huntsville, Alabama with his mother to create a fresh start for his older brother and family. Throughout his childhood his love for music was strong. But while attending junior high and high school his love for the streets out-weighed his love for music and the classroom. This resulted in him being dismissed from the Huntsville City School system and caused him to relocate to Fort Walton Beach, Florida for a chance at a new start. This moved was a gift and a curse. The curse was a short list of legal troubles but the gift resulted in him recieving his Diploma and discovering his love for music. In 2005 started frequently recorded songs in hopes of making a mixtape at a local studio. Due to differences between Yella and the studio the mixtape was never completed but the love for the music was never lost. He kept writing and recording little by little until June 2007 when he moved back to Huntsville. This moved provided him with a better insight of the industry and how it works. In April 2008 a chance meeting between Yella and JMI Entertainment CEO Chris "Yung Hitmakah" Lampley sparked the business relationship and a friendship that has and will lead to a successful career. Be on the look out for up coming freshman album Beginning to a Beautiful Start featuring the hit Single " To The Side." We here and we aint stopping.
