Biography

Would you like to Get Some?Yellow Delicious is the band to give it to you!

With an appetite for concoction, they mix their love of 80s music and classic rock into a delicious blend of new wave rock for the 21st century. Adding a modern twist, this band recalls a time when rock was fun and carefree, when the songs were about good times, women, love, lust and well..rock and roll! Thats where YD comes in with their cd Get Some!

Yellow Delicious was built by twin brothers Pat and Mike Kostalnick, high school friend Greg Dempsey, and Chris Vidler who came together with a shared vision of rock. Pat handles lead vocals and smooth yet sometimes frantic lead guitar. Add Mike with his old school rock/punk rhythm guitar, Greg with his driving drumbeats and Chris' throbbing bass and you get the sound and vibe of Yellow Delicious. They all join together to shout out the group vocals to get your fists pumping and your ass shaking.

Together, YD has rocked audiences from Albuquerque to NYC, performing at numerous colleges, clubs and festivals throughout the US. They've wowed the crowds at the Midatlantic Music Conference, Midpoint Music Festival, Motor City Music Conference, CMJ/ Rock Hall Music Festival and have opened for and/or shared the stage with bands such as Aerosmith, Cheap Trick, Motley Crue, Eddie Money, Poison, Winger, Ratt, The Darkness, Sum 41, The Fixx, Blessid Union Of Souls, The Calling, Cracker, Cowboy Mouth, and Dirty Americans.

YD is promoting their cd, "Get Some! which was recorded at Robby Takac's (Goo Goo Dolls) studio in New York. It has been receiving rave reviews and college radio airplay nationwide. Since the release, YD has been voted one of the best rock bands in Cleveland by Scene Magazine, performed at the International Pop Overthrow festival in Philadelphia and New York and performed at the legendary CBGB. Yellow Delicious is touring in support of their album so be ready to Get Some! when YD comes to your town!

Singing To No One

Written By: Kostalnick/ Pearston

Sidewalk, under feet
Road going nowhere
Angel cries, broken wings
She's singing to no one

The first time, I can hear
Voices of reason
All alone, without a care
I'm singing to no one
Singing to no one

The longer I try the harder for me to fail
Ten years have gone and I'm trying still
Every turn taking me back, back where we started
Some say give in but I never will

Sidewalk, tired feet
Leading me nowhere at all
The first time I finally hear
I'm singing to no one
Singing to no one

She

Written By: Patrick Kostalnick

She makes me feel
She makes me sing
She can do anything

I like the way she looks
When she looks at me that way
She takes my breath away

No I don't wanna stop
I know that I am not
Worth my own mind
Or my space in time without she

She speaks in silence
While she says it all
She makes me wanna follow her

I tell her all my dreams
While she steels my wonder why
She makes me smile when I cry

No I don't wanna stop
I know that I am not
Able to find
The words to define what I feel

No I don't wanna stop
There's just no way
Where I would be
No one moves me like she

Tell me how near you are
Tired lonely days
I will not find
The troublesome times of their ways

No I don't wanna stop
There's just no way
Where I belong
I don't want to go on without she

Today IsThe Day

Written By: Patrick Kostalnick & Chris Vidler

Today Is the day
I'm not gonna live my life this way
I'm done thinking about it

I thought I was fine
I thought I could push it all behind
Now I'm starting to doubt it

She took my heart
And shattered my soul
She left here with so much more
Than she will ever know
And I know

It's hard for me
I opened myself completely
She shut the door in my face

When it was new
I knew it was too good to be true
Now I'm back in that same place

She took my heart
And shattered my soul
She left here with so much more
Than she will ever know
And I know

Better

Written By: Pat Kostalnick

The say we know nothing about anything
I say so what
I know one thing, this girl is my everything
I’ll tell anyone

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I’ve heard it already forget that I said it
Yeah, yeah, yeah, but you better hold on next time you’re thinking

It’s better than nothing
To love, lost, then not at all
It’s better to go down fighting than to take a fall
I’d wait a lifetime
And I’d do it all over again
So much better when I’m falling after you

We know there’s no way to get away
Somehow we’ll get by
Well they can’t take a thing if we don’t let them in
I don’t care how hard they try

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I’ve heard it already forget that I said it
Yeah, yeah, yeah, but you better hold on next time you’re thinking

It’s better than nothing
To love, lost, then not at all
It’s better to go down fighting than to take a fall
I’d wait a lifetime
And I’d do it all over again
So much better when I’m falling after you

Keep running, keep hiding,
You’re gonna get there someday
And when you’re not trying
It’s gonna find you anyway

It’s better than nothing
To love, lost, then not at all
It’s better to go down fighting than to take a fall
I’d wait a lifetime
And I’d do it all over again
So much better when I’m falling after you
