"Yes Please - New Friends [Review]"

Rating: 4 out of 5
“I like this one for the truths it drops. Basically calling out people for a variety of bullshit, this is a track that reminds us all, not to take everything so serious.

With a steady beat and a vocals that stay within themselves, this song relies on simplicity to deliver the goods.” - LA on Lock

"Music Review: Yes Please - Priceless"

Yes Please, a soft Pop/RnB production duo, introduce ‘Priceless,’ a follow up to their debut EP ‘Good Manners, Bad Taste.’ The track’s soft acoustic melodies are cute with a fatter bass creating a sad song that you can also dance to.

The Pop/RnB duo elevate their new single “Priceless” by a swarm of melodies that overtake repetitious drum patterns. About twenty seconds in and the two extend a stalk-ladder of bass leading up to a land of dreamy pastel synths and fluttering keys, to become quite the romantic excursion up in the clouds.

“Priceless” is a soft-edged tune that is a surefire radio hit. Nothing is too frantic or heavy, and when the bass appears, it’s as soothing as it is booming. If that sounds good, you may also enjoy the vocals which overtake with extraordinary enthusiasm. It makes for an easy casual listening experience as it rises slowly in the mix until everything else is in the background.

Often than not, today’s music though no less pleasant, disappears without leaving much of an impression. The airwaves are plagued by bland, wearisome tunes that lack passion or appeal. But Yes Please deliver a song that stimulates your senses and arouses the inner-charm in you when it comes to matters of the heart.

"Yes Please share new single "Priceless""

Yes Please is a New York-based singer/producer duo comprised of Matt Miggz and Aaron O’Brien (known as APOB). Their new single “Priceless” is an ode to a past relationship where the girl was clearly still in love with her ex. Combining R&B, and bedroom pop flawlessly, the track is a catchy number with an appealing sound that will generate a lot of interest from both commercial and underground music listeners. Press play.

“No matter what I did, said, or showed her, she never told me how she felt and I never knew what we really were. ‘Oh what a life this is, love me/don’t like this shit. Not the one to be fighting with, let me show you what priceless is’ speaks on the complications of the relationship, and how much I wanted to show her how easy it could be, if she loved me back” — Matt Miggz. - Discover NU

"RADAR: Yes Please -- Do Better"

Yes Please is a New York-based production/vocal group comprised of producer ‘APOB’ and singer/producer Matt Miggz, longtime best friends from high school.

The duo introduces a sonic fusion of pop rap, pop-punk, and indie R&B, drawing inspiration from genre-defying artists such as The Beastie Boys,, N.E.R.D, Gorillaz, and PartyNextDoor. The pair have previously worked with Travis Scott, 9th Wonder, Camilla Cabello, and Ye Ali, among others.

This song is about those girls that are so into you when you know they can do way better. You question what they see in you, and want to tell them to do better. - H-Wing

"Emerging Duo Yes Please shares addictive new single 'All the Time'"

Up-and-coming duo Yes Please are ready to share an addictive new single.

The singer-producer pair, made up of Matt Miggz and APOB, are releasing their new track "All the Time" on Thursday, premiering it on Variance. It follows their recent Good Manners, Bad Taste EP, which was released in May.

"For 'All the Time,' we were actually just doing a vocal warm-up in a session and going through some of APOB's older beats," says Yes Please of the new track. "Miggz wrote the hook in maybe two minutes, then we went back and started writing and recording 'White Knuckles,' which will come out later this year. Later that day Miggz went into his room and added some drum loops and recorded the vocals; he sent it back to APOB who added some 808s and the song was finished by the end of the day. It happened really fast, so the inspiration just came from the rhythm of the demo."

While Yes Please might just now be releasing material of their own officially, they've been in the industry for years and they actually go back even further, having grown up on the same street and making music at 10 years old.

They've co-produced for bands such as Aer, while Miggz dove into photography, working with the likes of Mac Miller, Brent Faiyaz and Mike Dean. Meanwhile, APOB has shown his beat-making prowess working with artists like 9th Wonder, Aminé, Ro Ransom and Travis Scott.

In addition to "All the Time," Yes Please is finishing up a few more songs and they ultimately release another EP. They're also planning to produce for other artists under their new Yes Please moniker.
