We are a band based out of Raleigh, North Carolina. We love music, and we love to rock, but most importantly our mission is to glorify God through the talents that He's given us.

Biography

Yesterday's Prime is a rock band from Raleigh, NC. The band was started more than three years ago, searching for the right band members, and was going through different names and songs. But in October of 2004, the band finally started getting off the ground. Since then, God has blessed the band tremendously with more equipment, lyrics and fans.

Lyrics

Broken

Written By: Ryan Hamlin

Creaky doors, dusty floors
This is what I am inside
Old and rotting, my mind is flooding
`Cause I'm running out of time
Distant echoes of what was
And what will never be
I'm in a maze, running in circles
It's a dream, wake me

I'm getting older by the minute
I'm as cold as they come
I'm afraid to admit it
But I don't know where I am
Lost inside my head, I can't get out
I'm ready to give in, it's closer now
Feeding on my flesh, it's over now
My mind is closing in,
I'm broken

Laughter fills this place again
It's only memories
The only thing I kept from them
Before I knew their stories
They broke my body
Spilled my blood
And this is what I have become
They stole my mind
And it destroyed me
Because I let them come

I'm getting older by the minute
I'm as cold as they come
I'm afraid to admit it
But I don't know where I am
Lost inside my head, I can't get out
I'm ready to give in, it's closer now
Feeding on my flesh, it's over now
My mind is closing in,
I'm broken

In the Dark

Written By: Dylan Lucas and Ryan Hamlin

He was lost and alone
He was frozen cold
He didn't know
That there was so much more
He was on his knees
Begging, beckoning
Come and save me
My soul is diminishing
He was wondering and searching For so much more
And in the process he was
Forced right out the door
This cold vacancy being buried alive
His eyes were blinded
And he couldn't find the light

Jesus the light unto my path
The lamp right at my feet
Shine your light so I can see
(Repeat)

I could tell she had
A hole in her heart
An unspoken misery
Was tearing her apart
Throughout her life
She had been picking up scars
She was sick of this brokenness
It'd gone way too far
She traveled day and night
`Till darkness turned to light
To find the one thing
She'd been missing all along
A way to get away from this sin
That was pulling her in
She needed love

Jesus the light unto my path
The lamp right at my feet
Shine your light so I can see
(Repeat)

They carried guilty stains
Were bound by all these chains
This temporary form of love
Just turned to misery
(Repeat 2x)

Jesus the light unto my path
The lamp right at my feet
Shine your light so I can see
(Repeat)

Everyway

Written By: Dylan

I walk down the street
Taking in all I can see
Everyplace I seem to put my foot
I sink deeper into the mud
Everywhere, everyway
Everything is all gray
Everywhere, everyway
Tell me its ok

I surrender it all to you
I know what i need
I need your guidance
Every step of the way
You save my day
Everything is ok
Now that i have you
How can i ever thank you?

How can i believe
That anyone is for real?
Behind every smile
Hides a lie waiting to trap you
Stay on your guard
For the master of all that's evil

In the place
Where you will go to hide
Your foe waits
Jaws opened wide
Stand strong and believe
You will come through
Jesus says, "I love you"

Everywhere, everyway
Everything is all gray
Everywhere, everyway
Tell me its ok

I surrender it all to you
I know what i need
I need your guidance
Every step of the way
You save my day
Everything is ok
Now that i have you
How can i ever thank you?
