Bio
Yetisburg is comprised of five very talented young Farmington, Missouri locals. Meeting while attending Farmington High School; this group of friends played in other local bands and have studied music since they were children. What started as a sort of joke between Jason and Cody (“You play piano, I play piano; we should start a band…”) has grown into this incarnation of music as uncanny as their name.
Using synthesizers and bongos, which separates Yetisburg from virtually every band today, a unique marriage of the organic and synthetic creates an undeniable sound that is impossible to stand still to. As unusual as their music is, Yetisburg does have several influences. These include: The Beatles, Portugal. The Man, MGMT, The Mars Volta, Modest Mouse, Led Zeppelin, Beethoven, and The Faint.
Yetisburg is currently featured in a 2720 Cherokee show taking place on the second tuesday of every month. They are accompanied by MJ Pham, a hot St. Louis dubstep artist, along with other local and national acts. The tuesday night show also features Local St. Louis artists creating a unique audio/visual experience.
