YFO

Y-F-O are a four piece Dublin based band (formally known as Blueprint) who originated over 4 years ago, but who in the past two years have really come together as a band and found their sound. They are a young, lively band with many different influences, which makes defining their sound not such an easy task, although alternative, indie, rock and pop are all words used in the attempt. Their two tracks; lose control, and also Time to say goodbye are good examples of their abilities, with a strong rhythm section, distinctive guitar licks and emotive female vocals, they compliment each others talents well. They recently played some gigs over in Canada which got them a lot of positive feedback and some good live experiences Y-F-O headline regular gigs run by Dermot Lambert of Irish band Blink, in some of Dublin’ finest venues. (such as whelans and The Village of wexford street, The sugar Club on Leeson St.) They are also generating interest on a local level, having recently won Battle of the Bands in Clondalkin venue The Steering Wheel, landing them first prize of 3 days in the recording studio. Y-F-O, along with creating some damn good music, clearly gel together as a group, which is evident through their tight live performances.

Y-F-O are ones to watch over 2010, having penned over 20 songs last year while still managing to hold down the day job, this group are determined to make their music get out there hopefully the new year will bring them new opportunities to get their music heard, and make their part time passion a full time career.
