The state of California is synonymous with
some of the biggest superstars to bless the
rap game today: 2Pac, Dr. Dre., Snoop Dogg,
Game, and a bevy of other talent. From this mold
rises a young rapper who is ready to claim
a spot alongside the Westcoast's top stars.
YG Mack was born in Orange County but
always moved from city to city. Starting from
Long Beach, then to Santa Ana, to finally
reach his last stop, Riverside, CA. Born in the
Spring month of April in 1992, YG Mack is
very proud for being blessed with so much
talent at such a young age. With no father or
mother around, Mack was raised by a variety
of family and friends. He proclaims, "I was
always moving around so much, I didn't even
go to school. As a kid, there were only two
things I knew, only two things that I could
turn to - hustling and music."
With a passion for rapping and hustling,
Mack decided to combine the two and rise
above his tumultous surrounding. At the
ago of 12, he was already in the "trap"
free-styling over any instrumental he heard.
Soon after, at the age of 13, Mack recorded
his first studio track "Hat To Da Back."
Mack's influences include 2Pac, Biggie and
Jay-Z, with a number of other rappers all-
around down South, the Eastcoast, and his
very own Westcoast. As YG MACk proclaims,
"The Westcoast as a whole had the biggest
impact on me. I did not even have to bang...
everyone already knew Mack was a hustler.
I've always been about mines..."
