Judith began writing her own songs in her teenage years.
Inspired by her father, a professional drummer and singer, she started taking piano,
drumset, vocal and ballett lessons in her early childhood. This quickly led to a
professional career, where in its beginnings she mainly supported local cover
bands with her singing and playing keyboards.

She studied jazz/rock/pop voice at the University of Music and Drama Hannover
and graduated in 2008.
During her studies, she got the chance to bring her composing and producing skills
to the next level and collaborated with top-producers such as Fabio Trentini
(H-Blockx, Guano Apes), Christoph Littmann (Randy Crawford) and Jens Krause
(Fury In The Slaughterhouse).

Soon Judith needed a band to perform her songs live and in the studio.
She quickly found her partners in crime at her course of studies, which marked
the beginning of the band called youdid in 2004.

youdid plays powerpop. Their style is a mixture of distorted guitars
and electronic synthie-sounds, but the most important part is always a catchy vocal hook.

youdids longstanding teamwork has ultimately led to the winning of the
German newcomer award for “Best New Rock-Pop Artist” in 2008.
