Young Negrensé is an unsigned artist based on Vancouver Island B.C., setting introspective songwriting over self produced instrumentals.
Young Negrensé has always had a deep passion for music but didn't start taking it seriously till early 2016. After a few years of beats, he began to add his own vocals to his production.
In early 2018 ASAP Rocky leaked his alternative snippet "Above", and in a Vancouver hotel room before attending a Yung Lean show, he sampled it flipping Rocky's track. He later recorded vocals and released it on soundcloud, where it ran up over five thousand plays.
With a little more perspective on the process of self releasing, Young Negrensé polished up an old track, and in March of the same year dropped his first multiplatform single, "Occidental Side".
Over the course of 2018 Young Negrensé began sorting through his many unreleased tracks and started to piece together a project. He released two singles on soundcloud "Left on Read" and "Away Team" in an effort to build anticipation, and with the help of Dominic "Dot" Okune of 669 studios in Toronto, his debut LP "FIRST BLOOD", was born.
On June 14th 2019, while away in Europe, "DÍA Y NOCHE" a two track, summery reggaeton vibe, was released, showing versatility in Young Negrensé's sound.
Currently he is working on his Sophomore album "Black Swan", release date TBA.
