"Catching Up With Young O-M33zy from YPC"

The latest project by Young O-M33zy of Y.P.C. is currently being offered on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon and Google play. It is titled “You Can, You Can’t” and features the filmography work of Palamora Productions.

I had the opportunity to catch up with Young O-M33zy and he had some love to share for the region, some choice words about the scene and some news to share. The group Young Paper Chasers will be opening for YouTube star Mike Stud at the Corbett Outdoor stage at NMSU this Friday the 15th, which marks their first show at NMSU and they plan on encouraging the fans at the show to be more involved in the hip hop scene in the southwest. Even bigger news was that Y.P.C. will be opening up for Young Thug in Albuquerque this month on the 23rd at the Albuquerque Convention Center, it will be an all ages show that starts at 9 p.m. - Desert Heat

The latest release from Young Paper Chasers is Young O-M33zy’s “You Can, You Can’t”. This track features another video production from Palamora Productions which has kept the Southwest on fire with their work in hip-hop scene. This is one of the first releases to come from the Young Paper Chasers on Itunes, Google Play and Amazon. You can purchase the track and you can stream it live on Spotify. The release is getting the attention of bigger names and media outlets in the country and as it does the group is putting on more shows then ever before. Young O-M33zy wanted to hit fans with a new release while they await his new mixtape and a new mixtape with the whole Y.P.C. crew. The group is preparing for big shows coming up including one in which they open for Young Thug this month in Albuquerque. Young O-M33zY is the stage name of Omar L. Bishop-Clayton a New Mexico-born hip-hop & R&B artist signed under his own Independent label Young Paper Chasers LLC. O-M33zY has a heavy lyrical based Auto-Tuned vocal style, where he displays his versatile singing and melody capabilities. He refers to himself as a lyricist rather than a rapper, and a melodist rather than a singer. He's performed along side of Young ThugOG MacoTrinidad James,Mike StudEvander Griiim & numerous others. Within 6 months of his arrival to platforms like Spotify, Tidal, & Apple Music, O-M33zY easily surpassed 50,000 streams gaining the attention of multiple verified playlist curators. As of 2017 O-M33zY eclipsed well over 1,600 studio sound recordings, aligning him with season veterans such as Gucci ManeTravis Scott & J. Cole

O-M33zY grew up two blocks away from a New Mexico public housing division and began making music as a teenager. Originally inspired by Lil Wayne and his older brother, O-M33zY formed a group called YPC with brothers Andre Dubois, Kamryn Dixon, Trenton Brown, Antonio King, and Anthony Hovey. He released His first Mixtape titled "TGDO" in 2014. After graduating highschool O-M33zY moved to Atlanta, GA and began recording music and living on his own. Later after that O-M33zY relocated to the El Paso,TX area where he began getting booked for major events.

By 2016 O-M33zY became President and CEO of his own record label and Publishing company enabling him to work with industry professionals such as 300 Ent. The build up to O-M33zY first studio EP titled "New Flexico" dropping MAY 2017 started with Mixtapes TGDO, Bellagio Mafia, GK&SR, NEW HARLEM & his latest "The Lottamores" along with singles and videos to the ultra popular "Put My City On" and "YX3" Young O-M33zY is drawing close to mainstream attention and he's doing it fast!
