"Rob Guthrie"

Like any good band starting to turn heads beyond the local scene, YAJ has the power to recall your favorite groups and at the same time to sound totally unique. - Splendid Ezine

"Rachel"

The guys from said band, Young Agent Jones (formerly the Bronson Pinchot Tribute Band), put on a really great, high energy show. They were really fun to watch and there were even a few people (gasp!) dancing. I’ve read that their sound has elements of Big Star, Weezer, and even Jimmy Eat World, but to me they kind of sound like what The Hives would sound like if they had been around in the eighties. - rachelandthecity.com, Memphis, TN

"Carey Miller"

Today finds Young Agent Jones ready to rock any and all comers with their perfectly honed brand of power pop espionage. - The Planet Weekly, Jackson, MS

"Steve Wildsmith"

Young Agent Jones does for pop rock what ‘XXX’ did for spy movies: Takes all of your preconceptions, stuffs them in a blender and hits puree. The result is one of the best sounding musical cocktails I’ve heard from a regional band in a long time: catchy hooks, great songs, and a swaggering attitude that comes across with perfect rock star grandeur. These guys are incredible to hear. - The Daily Times, Knoxville, TN

"Kelly Daniels"

Their boundless punk-like energy often results in boundless heat and sweat. - The Reflector, Mississippi State University, Starkville, MS

"The Clarion Ledger"

It’s all cloak and dagger, rock and swagger. - Jackson, MS

"Jim Beaugez"

Young Agent Jones still rock with garage-worthy intensity, but show off their ability to create some impressive ear candy at the same time. - The Reflector, Mississippi State University, Starkville, MS

"Matthew Allen"

To put it in layman’s terms, it kicks butt. - The Reflector, Mississippi State University, Starkville, MS

"Compgeekgirl"

Young Agent Jones has a decidedly retro-edged modern rock appeal. Not retro like all the new bands cropping up every time you turn around. Not retro like the Shins, White Stripes, the Vue, etc. This has a distinct 80's/90's retro sound, bringing to mind a myriad array of bands including the Smithereens, the Smiths, Nirvana, Filter, Eve 6 and many more.

Bio

There is an honesty and poetry that can only be found in rock and roll perfected from years on the dive bar circuit. The four distinct songwriters of Young Agent Jones have done just that -- creating a sound that is familiar yet undeniably their own. Combining British Invasion vocal harmonies, dual lead guitars, 80's pop sensibility, and garage rock intensity, YAJ delivers musical complexity with pure rock and roll abandon.

Considering that Young Agent Jones have released three albums and performed together for over 10 years, they are not a typical regional band. Their first album ranked in the top 150 on the CMJ national college radio chart. They were invited to perform at the Sun Studios 50th Anniversary of Rock and Roll concert in Memphis, Tennessee. Numerous festival appearances and regular tours have taken YAJ from their hometown of Starkville, Mississippi, to destinations including Atlanta, Nashville, Austin, Chicago, Baltimore, and Tampa Bay. In addition, they have donated their talents to charitable causes including the Red Cross Tsunami Relief Fund, the USO, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, the American Cancer Society, various arts and academic societies, and organizing a benefit concert for Hurricane Katrina victims.

All in all, Young Agent Jones is a band that loves what it does.
