In Spring of 2011 premonitions guitarist Matt Whitaker began work at a geriatric hospital working with Alzheimer patients. Seeing how memory/reality could warp and change over time inspired a set of songs chronicling/exploring the nature of memory and it's plasticity.
At the same time, the premonitions went on hiatus and Whitaker was able to fully devote himself to the project. Using a looper and effected guitar he began creating large soundscapes, using them as backdrops for stories of love and loss, clarity and confusion, life and death, some true, some true only in their realistic depiction of the unfortunate reality of growing old.
Whitaker is currently recording his debut EP with Suny Lyons at Popheart Productions, it is set to be released in November 2011.
