Bio

Born on May 28th, 1984 as Cory Smith, "Young Dibiase" has always been an appropriate name for the unique individual. Dibiase was diagnosed with Sickle Cell at birth. Realizing that he will need to work twice as hard with the blood disorder this has proven to be a successful motivater in the life and career of Cory Smith. The youngest of 5 siblings Dibiase grew up in a Military based family, and although he was born in Frankfort Germany, he calls Kentucky his home. Experience with alcohol, drugs, poverty, violence, dysfunctional family issues, and personal health issues at a young age have been the fuel that fires Dibiase's passion as an artist. His first acquaintance with music was in 1998 when he began writing and producing in his home after school. Two years later Dibiase (B.K.A. CORE) started a group with high school with friends/brothers Jamaal and Travis Thompson which led to his exposure as a Recording Artist. The group recorded countless tracks but never "officially" released an album. Dibiase eventually decided to go solo and proceed as an Independent Producer/ Writer/ Engineer. In 2005 while attending College, Dibiase met William "Ill Will" McBroom, and they later became partners of “Hooligan Music Group”/ Fam Squad Entertainment”. In 2006 Dibiase began working on his first project, the “Just Fury” mix tape (Justify My Fury). The mix tape was a promotional tool for the single “Piece of Mind” FT. Justin “JC” Crowder, who later signed to Block Entertainment/ Bad Boy South. The “Just Fury” mix tape was highly successful, selling out of stock in less than two months in the streets. Since the release of “Just Fury” the artist B.K.A. CORE, officially changed his name to “Young Dibiase” after battling three “near fatal” Sickle Cell Crises in less than a year. After the discharge of his most recent hospitalization on December 15th, 2007 Debiase began recording his 2nd official mix tape “Million $1 Dream” symbolizing his strength, motivation, and optimism, which hit the streets February 23rd, 2008. Continuing to elevate his music career Young Dibiase has produced and recorded another smash single, titled Rock N Roll which was released in early 2009.His new single Choppin Blades, produced by his longtime companion Ill Will is set to hit the streets the summer of 2009.
