Bio

Call him gifted. Call him a genius. Call him a phenom. Or, just simply call him when you need a hot track or a hot sixteen. The 17 year old producer, artist, and songwriter Donya Dyson ( a.k.a. Young Don) is on the rise and about to emerge as the next multi-talented star. At 17, Donya has been rapping and producing for over half of his life. He started out in his hometown of Covington, TN, rapping and making beats with a tape recorder and a table when he was only 7 years old. Now, 10 years later, he has emerged as one of the hottest new producers in the industry. He is the founder/C.E.O. of U-SIC Productions. Donya is influenced by the works of Scott Storch, Jim Jonsin, Cool & Dre, Timbaland, TMX, DJ Nasty, and DJ Toomp. Recently, Donya sat on several producer’s panels and showcases sponsored by Sam Ash Music. His unique style of producing will definitely place him in the forefront of the next generation of hip-hop.
Don’t sleep on Mr. Dyson, for producing is not his only attribute. Donya is an excellent writer and engineer, as well as a superb artist. Donya, or shall I say Young Don, has a very genuine style of rapping. He is not the normal Southern rapper that most people are accustomed to. Young Don has a very subtle voice that demands attention and respect when heard. At home in Covington, TN ( outside of Memphis) Young Don has received the title of “ Da Best Young Rapper.” Young Don is influenced by artist like Lil Wayne, Juelz Santana, Ludacris, T.I., Lupe Fiasco, and Jay-Z.
Music is not all of this 17 year old’s life. Donya has a very busy scholastic schedule. He is a member of the football team. He maintains a 3.3 GPA, and he still finds time to tutor and mentor younger students.
Get ready World! Donya Dyson is ready to enter the hip-hop nation with a bang. He claims that his unique style of producing and rapping will help keep hip-hop alive. All we can do is watch and wait for this new phenom to prevail.
