Bio

They're young. And make no mistake, they're dudes - even though one of them is female. Young Dudes is your favorite band that you've never heard of. That may sound like a baseless assertion, but it's true. Observe: do you like music? Do you like fun? Do you like to rock? Then you like this band. Give them a listen, and you'll love it.

This band brings it like the fate of music depends on it. With breathy, petulant vocals, bangin' keys, super-tight drumming, shrieking guitars and throbbing low end, Young Dudes wouldn't have been out of place on a late 70s bill with Johnny Thunders & the Heartbreakers and the Dead Boys.

The songs are aggressively catchy, somewhere between retro garage rock and great, snotty punk. Matt Torbinson's fervent vocals slice straight through eager, driving guitars (provided by Torbinson and Dustin Miller); everything's decidedly unfussy, but it would be a real mistake to call it simple. It all rides along on the solid network of a perfectly orchestrated beats and bass licks (courtesy of Katelyn Farstad and Zach Wilson), pounding out completely danceable rhythms guaranteed to get you moving.

If it sounds like Young Dudes have been playing together forever, it's because they have. Four years and only a dozen shows later, they've finally recorded an album. The songs are so good, there are only eight of them in under half an hour, and this LP is going to become your favorite party album. You'll be yelping along with the Young Dudes in no time, dancing like a fool.
