Young Heights

Born and raised in the birthplace of hip-hop, Bronx, NY, Young Heights is definitely starting to make a name for himself and get the respect that he both desires and deserves. On April 14th 1991, the young rapper known as Young Heights was born in the Soundview section of Bronx, NY. “I remember like it was yesterday. My hood [Soundview] was tough coming up but as a kid I didn’t notice ‘cus it was all I knew.” Growing up Young Heights was always a basketball player. Basketball was what he ate, slept, and dreamt. “Ball was my 1st dream”, says Young Heights, “I used to go HARD for mines! Basketball was life to me. Unlike a lot of other kids growing up in the city, my pops was always there right next to my moms, and growing up playing ball he instilled in me that hard work ethic. I feel that same excitement from playing ball when it comes to music!” Young Heights played basketball all through high school and was actually very talented but when injuries plagued him, he decided that maybe it was time to move on to something different…and this is where Brandon Tarrant became Young Heights and never looked back. “I originally started getting my name up by producing. “I made beat after beat and eventually I was known and making connects.” One thing that not a lot of people knew about Young Heights was that he could rap. “I liked to write. I always did, but when it came to writing music, I loved it. Young Heights spent a year in college in Connecticut is working on his music harder then EVER! He has built a fan base in both NY & CT. He has appeared on NY & CT radio and his realness and likability makes him EXTREMELY marketable. He’s showing that work ethic that he’s always shown in everything he’s done. “Fu*k sleep! I only sleep cus I have to! I LIVE IN THE STUDIO! This is what I love to do and I can't do anything else…”
