From the gritty streets of ATL comes a music movement unlike any other of its kind. At the forefront of this movement is a new and upcoming artist by the name of Young Hollywood. Born Zione Michaels, Young Hollywood had a passion for being the voice of his peers as a child. His mother noticing his attraction to entertaining people thought she would assist in his passion by placing him in the familys church choir and community plays. Young Hollywood grew to love the spotlight so much that as he grew older, he always seemed to attach himself to some local R&B or rap group. The stage became his outlet of expressing himself. When asked the age old question, What do you want to be when you grow up? Young Hollywood always replied, I want the world to listen to what I have to say.
Young H loved all things entertainment but his passion came from writing songs, recording and performing. With years of experience, Young H has mastered his sound. To know him is to know passion, creativity and a strong will to succeed. All of these things only describe the tip of his genius. Known in the industry by the hitgod for his ability to write, arrange, produce and engineer an array of musical styles. Young Hollywood is by far one of the most creative rap artists the industry has seen in a while.
Young Hollywood represents a hidden fraternity of ghost writers behind some of todays top MC and R&B acts. So next time you put in a CD of your favorite artist, you never know you could be bumping a record that Young Hollywood wrote, produced and engineered!
Young Hollywood provides an intimate look at the large percentage of individuals that voices go unheard. Those silenced voices that have been drowned out by the stereotypical southern rap artist or shall we say trap artist that have distorted the overall outward perception of what a real hip-hop artist can be. These young voices also continue to receive the wrong image of what the inner city young black male looks like. Young Hollywood provides a new and refreshing perspective on what life is really like living in the inner city for those who dont sell drugs, commit crimes but still gotta hustle hard to survive.
