Young Joshua

Young Joshua was born, raised, & resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was raised in the church & always had the knowledge of who Christ was, yet during his natural growth he became rebellious. Even through his rebellion, he recognized his heart for great music. At the age of 12, he & some grade school friends began to rap, yet promoted the ways of the world. This continued all the way into high school where it only got worse. He soon started to compromise more than he wished to do. At the age of 14, during his freshman year, he ventured into the arena of Christian rap. There was a strong desire to rap for Christ, but unfortunately he was misguided & misdirected as to how a true Christian should carry themselves. Because of this, he soon started a trend of “straddling the fence”. At the age of 17 however, the Lord started to truly convict Joshua’s heart. He soon began to pray for guidance as to what direction he should follow. Through
fervent prayer, God began to place strong & solid believers in his Life. Through many tears, reading of God’s Word, & meditation, Joshua began a true relationship with Jesus Christ. He now promotes the ways of Christ through hip hop. He has a sincere heart for the youth & has worked with a local Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia. He also serves with different outreach ministries outside of the music to give the Gospel. With his gift of rap, he has been & still is being blessed to be a part of national & independent albums. He also released his 1st independent album called “Back To Reality” on July 29th 2008.
